What is Project Cheetah?
India will receive 50 cheetahs over the next 5 year form Africa
Due to the population and hunting by royals cheetahs went extinct by the independence of India
In 1952, cheetahs were declared extinct form India
But now India will receive 50 cheetahs from the forests of Namibia, Botswana and south Africa
After 12 years, the Govt. of Namibia and India signed a pact of sending cheetahs from SA to India
For now, 8 cheetah will be brought to Jaipur from Namibia
The cheetahs will cover a distance of 8,000 km in over 20 hour
And CCF- A teams of Namibia’s cheetah conservation foundation will also be with the animal
