PM cares fund: Government appoints Ratan Tata as a trustee

According to the prime minister's office, veteran industrialist and former chairman of Tata sons and Tata group- Ratan Tata has been nominated as one of the trustees of the PM cares fund

Along with him, govt. appointed former supreme court judge KT Thomas, and deputy Lok Sabha speaker Kariya Munda as the trustees of PM Cares Fund

Narendra modi chaired a meeting of the board of trustees if the PM Cared fund , that was attended by union Home minister Amit Shah and union finance minister Nirmala sitharaman

Both Amit Shah and Nirmala Sitharam already are the trustees of PM Cares Fund that was created during the Covid-19 pandemic

The primary objective of this fund is to deal with any kind of emergency or distress situation alike to that happened during the covid-19

This fund also works to provide financial relief to the affected individuals during any emergency and distress situation 

The PM cares fund consists entirely f voluntary contributors from the individuals and organizations if India, without any budgetary support at all
